Remote Control Monitoring of Fish Farms water quality using Wireless Sensor Networks Project

Advanced Aquaculture Monitoring System

Our Project

The Aqua Vision project represents a cutting-edge approach to aquaculture monitoring, designed to revolutionize how fish farming environments are managed and optimized. Our team has developed an integrated system that leverages IoT technology, real-time analytics, and user-friendly interfaces to provide comprehensive monitoring solutions for aquaculture professionals.

Our system continuously tracks critical water parameters including temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), and pH levels - the key factors that directly impact fish health and farm productivity. By providing real-time insights through an accessible web interface, Aqua Vision enables data-driven decision making that can significantly improve yields while reducing resource consumption.

This project was developed as part of the [Department of Communications and Electronics Engineering] at [IAEMS], combining expertise in embedded systems, environmental sensing, data analytics, and web development to create a holistic solution to modern aquaculture challenges.

Project Workflow

The diagram below illustrates the complete workflow of the Aqua Vision monitoring system:

How It Works:

  1. Data Collection: Waterproof sensors continuously measure temperature, DO, pH, and other parameters at different depths.
  2. Data Processing: ESP32 microcontroller reads sensor values and performs initial data validation.
  3. Data Transmission: Validated data is transmitted to the cloud server via WiFi/4G connection.
  4. Data Storage: Measurements are stored in a secure database with timestamp and location metadata.
  5. Data Analysis: Our algorithms analyze trends and detect anomalies in water quality.
  6. User Interface: Results are displayed on our web interface in real-time dashboards.
  7. Alert System: Automated notifications are sent when parameters fall outside optimal ranges.
